Anybody using the HKS Type S intercooler? Is there even a performance gain with using this intercooler compared to the stock one? Does the kit come with intercooler pipes?

 

s-type core is only 25% larger than stock. it does not come with IC pipes. IMO, there are much better ICs for less money. not sure about performance gains

EDIT: one more thing, s-type fits perfect without cutting anything

 

You should check this out, the price is not bad at all. I love the Greddy FMIC. I used to have one on my Supra. Looked real nice, and definetely a quality product....

I made 672 WHP on my 2.3 stroker on a HKS Type S intercooler....amazing since they are only rated at over 500 hp.. charge temperature on the dyno was about 100.4 on full boost. Thats on an ambient temperature of 89.6.

 

What are the dimensions on the Type S?
