Where in Ecuador are you -- are you in the mountains? What octane fuel are you running? Also Ecuador can be quite hot and humid and that would affect your results....

I personally would have run Meth or ALK before nitrous, but that is just me...

Good luck...

Unhappy

Well, well, well... and finally yesterday I run with nitrous (75hp), I made 11.82 secs the 1/4 mile... but a STI makes 11.61... damn jeje, that STI has a bigger turbo...

Ok, time to make a decision, GTR? which one? Buschur? AMS? other? please the less expensive...

The only problem is the tuning, because I have to send again my ECU to USA...

Any other suggestion?

I am at Guayaquil, sea level, running with 102 octane fuel (aprox), and this times are at 2:00 am jeje.

Thanks,

Well another great mod next to driver improvement could be a quick weight reduction of the car and that mod is always FREE. Remember us your brain not your wallet all the time.

What RPM are you launching at? What is your maximum boost?

I would not recommend a 35r just yet....You still have tons of potential given your mods, fuel, nitrous, etc. Do you have any WOT logs (evoscan and wideband) that could show timing, load, afrs, etc. ?

You don't need to build a lot of boost on line, more like 15psi or so.Get a set of GSC 280 Mivec cam and M3 Flash,FMIC,boost to 30psi(Not reccomend but can be done). And you should run 11's without nitrous. Also a clutch, your clutch will not love the torque you produce.

You might want to invest in an exhaust temperature gauge, a loggable AFR meter, and an engine knock count detector, as well as an oil pressure gauge with a warning light. It's fine to want to go as fast as possible but it's best to keep a tab on your engine's vital signs.

Always use the best fuel available when you take your car to the track. When you say 104 octane, is that a guesstimate or are you purchasing 104 octane unleaded racing gas? If 108 or 116 is available then run it. You should be able to run at least 27# boost at the track on race gas.

Like Ang suggests, get the larger FMIC as it is best for your hot tropical coastal climate. Go to the M3 Flash. Approach nitrous with care and repect. Make sure that your tune is right for using the drugs.

There is a fellow on the boards using a combo of both nitrous and meth-alcohol injection. This might be worth looking into as you're really only 2 tenths of a second away from that Subaru. You don't have comparative trap speeds do you?

Those two tenths of a second might be right there in your launch and the 60 foot. As, the others have said....practice the driving mod. 5500 RPM seems a bit low for launching quick. You may wanna ask how on the EvoM Drag Racing Forum.

Thanks for your answers... but I have a few questions:

1. Can I put the GSC 280 intake cam with the HKS 272 exhaust cam, thay I already have?
2. My clutch die this weekend, now what cluth you suggest? a exedy stage 2? a twin plate?

Thanks again,

I am running a 280 intake cam along with the 272 exhaust. With this staggered setup, Curt Brown ran higher trap speeds than with either the straight 280's or the straight 272's. You'll probably want a set of adjustable camgears if you don't already have them. That way you can run -3/-2 at the track and something like +1/-1 for the street. You'll probably want a larger intercooler, an Ebay O2 housing and an alky kit as well, and you probably won't even miss the nitrous.

As far as clutches, it really depends on how much you want to spend. The ACT's look good if you're on a budget. Cusco, which are made by Exedy have some nice units at about $1500-$1800. Or if you want the best there are the Tiltons.
