For those that have installed a transmission cooler

in the MR 6-speed.... Where did you pick up the pump supply and return at? Did you tap the case directly?

Any pics?

I wasn't aware you can even hookup a transmission cooler to a manual transmissioni.

Yes you can, but it IS NOT for the novice! I've not even researched it for the Evo... it would be a HARDCORE mod for your race car.

do a search under username razorlab. he just recently added a trans cooler to his 6-speed after having it rebuilt when the 4th gear sheered at the track. his thread on it has a parts list with part numbers and stuff.

I've found just about every thread that concerns a transmission cooler..

The problem is that I need to figure out where they get the pick ups from. No one (that i've seen) has yet to show that..

Wouldn't the drain and fill plugs be ready made places for this? I think the bigger problem would be figuring out the proper fill amount since part of the oil is going to be in the pump circuit.

That was my guess, but, i kinda wanted to see what everyone else was doing before i went that route.

I also wanted to see how the fill plug was hooked up (if they used a "T" fitting or just replaced the plug..
