evo exhaust choice

Do you guys think that I should get the JIC catback exhaust+a downpipe and a test pipe, which would make it a turbo back wouldnt it? or get the turboback Buschur Racing exhaust? This is all in regard to more power gains.

If you opt for a full 3" turbo-back it won't make too much of a difference who makes it. As long as there are no severe bends in the tubing, performance gains will be relatively similar. You may want to consider a more responsible selection of a 3" hi-flow racing cat instead of the test pipe to keep you legal and maintain lower emissions. Differences between a good hi-flow cat and a test pipe will be minimal.

Sound is where you will find significant differences from different vendors. All depends on what you prefer and will be satisfied with. I read on this forum that the Buschur system is quiet until WOT where it rocks. Ultimate has two muffler choices for their 3" turbo-back. Check out their site: http://www.ultimate-racing.com/Produ...Index-US.shtml

There are many other systems from almost every vendor. Good luck trying to decide.

I have the Buschur 3" turbo back system. It's as straight as you can get. Not too loud but realy kicks in when you romp on it. Easy to install, I like it. Power gains as well.

Smaller canister too. I didn't want 50 gallon drum hangin out the back bumper.

There's also the AMS 3" exhaust, which took them to 12.54 @ 112mph!! (which i believe is the highest trap so far)

Their downpipe isnt finished yet.. however, it's very close to production, as well!

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll get you a great deal!

the test pipe replaces the catalytic converter for uninterrupted air flow, the downpipe is the section of the exhaust coming from the turbo.

a high flow is referring to a high flow catyliti converter which is less restrictive than stock cat, catback is the exhaust section that bolts to the catalytic converter. with the scca you can use stock cat on evo viii, with turbo back system, you get downpipe, high flow cat or test pipe, and cat back exhaust w/ muffler
