Well guys i am thinking about doing a turbo upgrade. I had a Turbonetics 62-1 with the 4" compressor housing on my last project. It was a darton sleeved 84mm 2.0 ls/vtec. Yeah i know some of you hate hondas.. But lets just say that the new owner of the car made a 10.7 @ 137 mph 1/4 mile pass with it on 20 psi 9:5:1 CR... Never really heard of DSM guys running turbonetics but i have had great luck with them in my past. I have looked for any others out there running any turbonetics turbos and i didnt find any. So are there any evo's using turbonetics turbos?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I kinda have an opinion:
My brother has a 94 talon with a Turbonetics 60-1 and a Bullseye .63 turbine housing on a built 2.0 with 9.0 JE pistons and all the supporting mods
so far it made 367 at the wheels, but it had its fair share of problems, like weak ignition (now replaced with coil-on-plug), and 2.5 in downpipe (now custom 3" turbo-back)
when the car gets back together this spring, we'll be very dissapointed with anything less than 450 to the wheels... enough bench racing....
25 psi easy by 4000 rpm and held to redline, quick boost response over 4000,
very high quality parts, overall excellent turbo
Hope that helped,
-Jeff
