whos running a megan dp?

im looking to get a megan dp....

now here's the deal, i want the hks hipower catback.

as of now im in the making of buying the helix hiflow cat (emission state)

this is indeed a frankenstein of an exhaust. will all the flanges connect if:

i were to use megan dp, stock cat, hks cat back?

megan dp, high flow cat, hks catback?

or i would my best bet be megan dp resonated test pipe, hks cat back (i would have to switch when getting inspection sticker)

I would just get the megan TP, I currently have the Megan DP/TP and Apexi N1 exhaust with no issues. I doubt there will be any problems doing this.

Whats up in P-Cola?

I have the Megan DP/TP as well. It fits well, doesn't bump the pan, and gave a pretty good power increase (at least according to the DLL). I ran the stock catback for a while and it fit alright but you are going to have leaks going from a large flange to a small one. Either get a HFC with 3" flanges or a TP with the same. IIRC when you go for inspection, at least in Missouri, if they find exhaust leaks then you have to fix them to pass...

All these pieces fit together - doesn't matter who makes them as long as they have normal flanges. I connected a Buschur DP/stock cat/Megan CBE and Megan DP/stock cat/Megan CBE on my car.

The 05-06' downpipes are still on back order due to a redesign. Any vendor selling an 05-06 owner a Megan or Megan “type” downpipe (regardless of company) right now is selling a 03-04 fitment. There have been repeated fitment problems with these on 05's and up. Some get away with it, some don't. It will be late Dec/early January before there is one available from Megan for 05-06 Evos.

I have a 05 MR and I did have a fitment problem with the megan DP. the flex section would rub and bang into something on the drivers side of the Dp. Im not sure if it was the tcase or tranny. In any case we were able to fix this with out having to beat the snot out of anything. There is some adjustment in the tubo side flang. I also have the megan test pipe and HKS hi Power catback. The o2 sensor on the cat back would hit the floorboard ext. (if thats what its called) We fixed that the same way we fixed the DP. I havent had a problem since.

I was fortunate enough to get away with no problems. Sounds great too
