questions about boost

gettin a boost controller and changing our boost to lets say 19 psi all the way to redline instead of the stock 18.6 boost / 14 or some bull**** like that after 5k.... now tell me... does this **** hurt our baby? is there a reason y mitsu made it this way cuz damn sure changing the boost to 19 after 5k instead of lousy 14 will make a noticeable diff...

well, the only thing i can think of is the fuel system capable of handling that much boost at that high of an RPM? maybe that is why they left it at 14...??

come on i know some of u guys already have boost controller whether its manual or digital or watever.... and im hoping you guys were smart enough to find out why mitsu had our settings the way they were set in the first place before u started to tamper with it and what else had to be changed to safely put up the second half of our rpm boost.... without long term damage....

Gas in the US sucks. Theres many reasons why factory FI cars taper boost in the upper rpms but most likely its because mitsu doesn't want to see alot of detonated to death engines showing up for warranty repair.

Its better than westcoast **** but its still not good compaired to what they get in japan and western europe. The manufacturer tunes for a level of safety so people can drive from death valley to Denver and not have to worry about their motor. When you alter these parameters you eventually lose that luxury. This is a very basic concept.
