Finally going to mod
You've gone the way of the do-do with these mods. I still recommend what you see in my first reply.
None of your plans make sense at all even after multiple revisions. I refuse to believe that this is what you've found from searching. There is no search that would lead you to this combination and succession of mods, imo. Upgrading the throttlebody and porting the INTAKE MANIFOLD is just so far beyond the realm of reality as your first set of mods...

You say it doesn't make sense and to go with your stage I package. However all your package contains is a TBE, MBC and flash with a boost gauge. I am modding beyond that stage, adding in the manifolds, tb, cone filter and o2 housing. Tell me why this "so far beyond the realm of reality" as my first set of mods?
Just so you know eventhough my post says mods in different months, the car is actually in the shop for the entire duration. I am without the evo for almost 2 months in a row.

Why is upgrading the TB and porting the intake manifold beyond reality for your initial mods? Because they make absolutely no sense, and no one else does those mods except for the few Works customers who got suckered. You have no reason to even touch that part of the car on your lightly-modded Evo. Here are the points you have ignored:
1) intake
2) titanium cat-back while simultaneously saying funds are limited
3) doing all the porting/coating before all the stg1 mods
4) TB and intake mani
5) rear sway instead of real suspension mods
All your brakes work should be done at the beginning, not the end, and you should only do some basic stg1 mods, then get on the track and learn to drive. AFter you've done that, then consider doing more mods and doing them the RIGHT WAY.
There is also no reason for the Evo to be down for 2 months.
with all due respect Warr, doing the rear sway bar is a very effective way of eliminating the understeer of the car. and the stock suspension is very good right out of the box for track days. add the rear sway to a stock suspension car, and you have a neutral balanced fun car to drive that is excellent as a DD as well. and the best part is, it only costs 100-150 dollars instead of buying a set of 1800 coilovers which most people will never see the limits of the stock stuff in the first place.
Kevin, it's NOT an effective way of elminating understeer - it's an artificial way. You remove traction from the rear, which gives the illusion of reducing understeer when you're really just increasing oversteer. Just adding a rear sway is not the proper thing to do for increasing handling. You just end up losing overall traction for the perception of removing understeer. Notice that my entire race suspension setup still utilizes the stock sways and front strut bar, because the proper way to reduce understeer is by INCREASING front grip, not by removing rear grip.
Also, coilovers are only $750-800 or so for decent ones that have a lot of adjustability and can be setup to significantly decrease ride height, lower the center of gravity, decrease roll, provide proper damping, provide neutral cornering, and a balanced corner weight. The rear sway is just a bandaid that makes people think the car performs better just because it suddenly rotates due to less traction in the rear.

The car should not be done for those mods either. You just purchase a used set here on EvoM (10.5 hotside and exhaust mani), then send them to Buschur for porting/coating. He sends them back, and you install them when you get them. Having the car down this whole time to do that is senseless. You also should not be porting the stock o2 - you should be getting a coated SS o2.

Keep us posted on the progress for auto-x and time slips.. ppl need to stop misleading the thread and stop judging his plans and set up.. there is no perfect way for modding.. everybody chooses his path..

Where in that first post did I say anything about my stage 1 package? Did you even read it? I spent a good amount of time giving you a complete breakdown of what I thought you should do, and you ignored every bit of it.

As far as intake goes, you mentioned it was better to stick with the stock, I figure otherwise. Going with a TI cat-back is a little weight reduction but still a reduction. I did say I was trying to keep things under my spending limit, but that doesn't mean I can't afford to go over. Doing all my port/coat may be over the top, but I chose to. TB and intake manifold were part of the port/coat decision. As far as suspension, what do you mean "real suspension mods," I have the stock bilsteins and will add a rear sway bar. I can get a better suspension, but the stock will suffice for now.
By the way, I said about 2 months which is a rounded figure, only because I won't be driving it till I get the tune. So I calculated based on the first day I dropped it off till the day I will have it flashed.
Dude just mod according to your plans.. dnt pay attention to warrtalon and his packages.. what ever man.. he knows stuff but is not a damn expert.. just do what you do at heart.. you'll learn and pay for your mistakes.. and if you got Q's just ask around or research.. and not just here.. there's plenty of sources for an evo.

You're right that there is no perfect way for modding, but there certainly are some terribly wrong ways to mod, and his list is much closer to that category.

I had my stock hotside and exhaust manifold port/coated. The O2 housing was a fabricated part supplied by paradigmperformance, not the stock.
Having the car down for the lengthy period is not a problem, I do live in Michigan. Winter isn't the best and as for the amount of salt, if you ever drive on on roads, you will see the damage it does.

I can't do that work either, but you still just buy the parts used, send them out, and then install them when they get back. The shop can still do the install, but it's better to be down for half a day than 2 months. Good news on the o2 if it's SS, but your sig says "port/coat." The SS O2s do not get ported. Did they make up some o2 of their own that is cast then port it or something?

Being down, isn't fun of course, but to me it doesn't really matter at this time.
You are correct, the O2 is not being ported, it is SS and only getting coated. That is my mistake, however all the other parts are my stock I don't have to buy them used or new.
