Every twin disk I heard had chatter noise. Although, The Exedy Twin HD was probley one of the quieter ones I've heard.

Will the sd handle that much power or will it be a issue getting a sd at a great price or should I could hold out for a hd.

BTW there is a rumor about exedy clutches failing I personally know someone which this happened to but he still had in the ristrictor I dont know if htat could be the fault.

Thanks

Once you upgrade the stock clutch, not to mention add an additional 150 - 200WHP to get your goal, you must be willing to tolerate, rattles, noises, pops, BANGS!, stinkies, and so forth, not to mention breaks.

Just dont expect OEM engineered quality when you get there is what I'm pointing out - but I would say the Exedy twin is your best bet. I'm at about 340wtq with only the Stage 1 and it handles it fine (never used anything else thpough)

I bet the failing is due to bad engagement points of pedal adj - I almost started to toast my new clutch thinking the pedal adj was good but wasn't - poor adjusted engagement gives you responses you don't expect. Exedy - no cause fail

Big pouint is WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SPEND?

i just heard another cusco clutch. It's much louder than mine.
So Cusco can be quiet or not...We both have over 40k miles, but he has like 100+ drag runs...I love this clutch!

Why the cusco is made by Exedy, its the same as the Exedy SD twin disc. The Cusco will hold less power then the Exedy HD twin will.

To do 500whp you should really look at a triple plate or larger. In reality it depends on how you race the car and what you plan to do with it.

All twin discs will chatter and have decel noise. This is a trade-off to hold more power.

Worst advice ever.

I'm starting to think that Evos were built to keep the entire overpriced aftermarket clutch industry afloat. $1,500 here, 3,500 hundred there, for a clutch?? No way. We spend WAY to much money on clutches. I, for one, victimized myself in this regard and I'm about to make it my mission on EvoMessageBoardLand to help us all save some money.

Your fricken mod list deserves a triple plate, it just sucks how much you have to pay for one.
