3"Catback and boost rpm kick in

Hellow fellow evo owners,
Im new to turbos so heres my question. After installing a 3"catback I noticed that the sensation of boost kick in is 3500 rpm instead of 3000rpm w/stock exhaust. This is obviously a result of less back pressure but do you get even later boost kick in w/turbo back 3".Will increasing boost make this less noticable.

Actually, back pressure is not a quality a turbocharged engine likes; that's for NA vehicles. The freer flowing the plumbing is after the turbocharger, the QUICKER it should actually spool up since there is less resistance so the exhaust gasses don't have to work so hard to spin the turbine. It would seem there is something else happening that is causing your boost lag. Not very helpful, I know. Sorry
