Injen Intake=What filter?

I have the Injen intake with the upper intercooler pipe and I am curious to know who makes their air filter and if this is a good flowing filter. Does anyone have any experience with this or has switched out their filter on their Injen intake to something else, if so, what? Thanks for the help.

I have the exact same set-up and I scrapped the injen filter because when everythingwas hooked up, the filter itself was rubbing on the bracket that holds my ACD reservoir. I put on a TurboXS Maf adapter with their K&N air filter. (I think it's a Turbo XS).

Looks great, and works really good.

Thanks for the tip, I just read another thread where the guy went with the blitz filter. I have also heard that the APexi filter is the best one out. There does not seem to be alot of information on here about this.

No not a lot of info out there on this. For a while I ran the HKS MAF adapter and filter and now I got a S&B inverted filter from Ebay with a 4.5" inlet. This seems very good. It is difficult for the Injen filter to not hit the hood with their setup although you just have to move the adapter and MAF down a bit.

Not much info but a very valid question.

Thanks Joe.....the HKS is the filter I think i want to go with. It is also very expensive, $128 Vs. the Apexi filter that is $138. I have not had the problem with the Injen filter hitting the hood, but I do have the problem with the UIP hitting the hood.

You can get the Blitz SUS 4.5" filter for $80 if you call Blitz and find an authorized retailer. I know this because I almost bought one.

I used my K@N maf adapter and K@N cone filter
no issues
it just whistles alot more but is quieter

mine sits on it, doesn't rub, has been there for, hrm, year and a half, 26 track days, and hasn't worn into the filter at all.

I'd run the Injen filter, one of those "ain't broke, don't break it" kinda things.

i run a buschur filter with agency power maf adapter, works well. What are most of you guys using to couple the rear of the maf to the short ram pipe on the injen intake.
