Hard to go into gear?

Well I'm having a little problem with shifting into 1st from a dead stop and into reverse from the same position. I had a new exeedy clutch ,ToB,pp and lightweight flywheel put in about 3k milles ago and was having no problem with it besides a lil clutch smell If i was really gettin on it. once im moving it shifts fine but sitting still it hard to get it to shift into 1st and second if I just depress the clutch and dry shift while parked. I'm kinda at a loss , do you think it just needs adjustment? Just looking for input before I take it to the dealership and they void my warrenty

try shifting to second gear first and then into first gear. I'll bet a dollar that the dogs of the shift gear the collar are hitting each other occasionally when you're stationary. Synchros don't work when you're not moving, and therefore don't assist in allowing the sleeve to engage the gear.

shift problem

Thx for the input, but I'm not sure thats the problem but I'll try it when I get home. However, this problem recently started up. It has trouble going into second also from a dead stop. It's like I have to push it and it pop's in all of a sudden , no grinding .just resistance then snap into gear.

And yes it sounds like it needs adjustment.

The age old cure for cars not going into gear is put it in neutral, clutch up, blip the gas to spin engine let the revs drop, clutch in, push into gear.

When was the last tranny fluid change? My tranny was real finicky also until I changed the fluid and put in some Penzoil Syncromesh. Shifts like butter now. BG Syncroshift is supossed to be just as good if not better. That's all I can suggest. Good luck!

hard clutch

Hummm.. tranny fluid.. now theres an idea. the shop that did my clutch was in Ohio where I broke down when visiting some family ... some friends pointed me to a local performance shop that had done some evo clutches.. they took good care of me but I've no idea what kinda tranny fluid they put back into it, They were mainly a muscle car shopthat worked on mustangs from what I saw.....I'll change the fluid.. If I dont put mitsu gearoil back in the tranny will it void my warrenty?

Sounds like a worn out clutch to me. You said you are getting clutch smell already, maybe you didn't break the clutch in right, or you aren't getting complete engagement with it and its worn out already.

try just bleeding your clutch maybe it ant engaging all the way.

O and First Gear does have a syncro. I know this cuase it is shot in my evo. i can only shift into first while stop and even have truble doing that sometimes. and from a dealership 1st and 2nd share the same syncro.
