Finally!! Full Blown Dual Pump with stock lines..

Ok guys, I have gotten quite a bit of pms asking if the dual pump setup will work with stock lines. I apologize that it took this long to post it up. I was quite busy with the srt unit, but its finally here!! Here is the kit, please note that the filter is not in the picture yet. The filter that i originally opt to use is not going to cut it. I will have the new one by wends. Price for the upgrade is between $30-$40 with the filter, or $10 without the filter. Thanks L J

The unit installed in the car

Heres a few of them ready to be assembled.

Best part about it is the factory one is still usuable.

As with most parts, there are pros and cons. Heres what I can think of..

Pros

1. Like mention above, you can always convert back to stock.

2. If you dont want to convert back to stock you can sell your stock sending unit. (The dealership wants a pretty penny for them)

3. You have the choice to upgrade to stainless AN lines if you like

4. You can retain factory lines now.

5. THe anodized piece is e85 safe.

Cons

1. You have to tap 3-4 wires. The good news is, its super easy to do (itll take you maybe 2 mins to do). Plus all the hardware, t taps, male connectors are included.

2. You have to drive around with your seat off for others to see it

3. If you get the anodized one , it only comes in purple for now. Some people might make fun of you. But the chicks love it jk (ok... i wasnt kidding)

Do you happen to know if the Denso 310 pumps would work with this setup? As far as I know they have the same dimensions as the Walbro.

I'm interested in whether you have the room to make the lower part of the pump housing (where the two pumps fit) in 50mm rather than the stock 38mm. If you do, the Denso TT Supra pump would fit, and you'd have a real winner. Can you take a measurement and find out?

If they are the same dimensions then they should work. I dont think the plugs are the same. I searched the pump, man!! those things are expensive.

The problem isnt the mount for the pump. Its the alignment from the output of the pump and the input of the housing. Do you have a pump you can send me, i can see if it is possible.

The Denso TT Supra pump is 1.995" (50mm) in outside diameter, and the body is 4.1" (104.14mm) long (without the strainer sock, which would add to the length of the pump body). The fuel output barb on the top of the pump is an additional 0.960" (just under 25mm) long, and 0.345" (8.7mm) in diameter. The output barb on the top of the pump is centered.

I do have a new Supra TT pump I could send you for fitment. PM me for details.

so if Im not mistaken you can run 2 Walbro pumps in the tank now w/ this product and still retain the stock lines...correct? How much power will/does dual pumps support?

Yes you are correct. I have not gotten a chance to get my car on the dyno to do testing. Although there are guys who have the setup already and should post results shortly. Depending on the dyno that is used. Id say ATLEAST 750-800hp.

Would it be possible to re-tool this setup to run a single larger pump (the Denso 50mm, or perhaps the Bosch 044?)? Or Duals of each?

Not so much having it plug and play as i don't mind doing a little bit of work, but just something that will fit..

Oh, and more generic power supply on top might be nice for the duals as well. That way we can run any pump we want..

Personally i'd like to run the Bosch 044, or duals of the same pump..

That's the question that has not been answered. There's are a couple threads by Dave Buschur lately that discuss max HP and flow for a single Walbro 255, and for his HO Walbro 255, but his has not flow tested the dual pump system. I've seen several tests where double Walbro (and other higher flow pumps) were tested, and in some cases, due to the configuration of the systems, they flowed very little more in a two pump system than the single pump did. In other words, the pumps "fought" with each other and the overall flow volume didn't improve much.

Until someone gets a double pump system on a flow rig, this question will not be accurately answered. The best we can say now is that certain fuel systems, installed on cars with specific motor mods, will support xxxHP without fuel starvation (loss of fuel pressure when required to deliver xxx volume of fuel at xx pressure)
