2 small problems

I just put new spark plugs in and put my hand up to the exhaust to check for misfires. I pulled my hand away and there was oil on my hand from the exhaust. This happened on my old turbo'd 240sx and assumed it was farily normal because i was told by, what i thought was, a reputable shop that it was caused by oil pooling in the turbo after it had been sitting for a while and this only happens once the car has been sitting for a while. After i drive the car for a bit it doesnt do it. Is this normal? Also i just installed an MR DV and Apex'i intake along with a jestr e-flash and now the car wants to stall sometimes. I know its not caused by the tune. Im just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and how to fix it.

i wouldn't call that normal. to me, there shouldn't be oil pooling in your turbine housing unless the turbo's seals are shot. you may be in need of a new turbo if oil is getting in the exhaust housing.

It is normal, I have a black spot on my garage door from it. You do not have a CAT on your exhaust do you?

Yea i think your right. Just smelled my hand and it still smells like gas not oil. Thanks for the input so far. Still no one had any experience with the 2nd problem?

Tons of people have had the 2nd problem. Your first move should be to re-trace your steps and determine which parts caused it, not to come online and ask for help. Troubleshoot first, then if you can't figure it out, ask for help. It could be the DV, or it could be the intake. The DV should not cause it, but there have been rare cases where people simply could not get the car to run well on that DV for unexplained reasons. Dunno if it's poor installation, a defective DV, or simply a poor combination of parts, but it has happened occasionally. The intake certainly is no help to the stalling situation - not sure why you got it.

The stalling could be caused by a couple of things:
Did you let jester know that you had a intake?
A leak somewhere, check all your intercooler pipe connections including the ones around your bov.
Your plugs what kind are they and are they gapped right?

Yes i did let jestr know i had the intake, so iam tuned for it. Im also running NGK BPR7ES with the gap set at .027. I do need to do a boost leak check and apologize for just hopping on and asking, but i had not heard of this problem happening with anyone else and i did search. Im defiently gonna go back and remove it and reinstall it and see if it fixes it. Also i put the intake on because my GF bought it for me for xmas along with the DV (got a great deal on em used for only 1k from a member on here with great feedback). Im also not about to refuse a gift from her that she bought out of love for me.

You don't have to refuse it - you just resell it and get something useful. Just because something is a gift, it doesn't make it good. I have to snicker about "bought out of love," haha. That was pretty funny.

Anyway, you should retrace the steps on each mod. The plugs are proper, and the gap is a little high, but very unlikely to be the culprit. Even so, start by putting on the stock BOV and testing. If it doesn't change, move back to the stock intake, and if it still doesn't change, put the stock plugs back in unless they were fouled. At last, you would want to reflash back to stock just in case if nothing else works.

It really should be something simple as it doesnt do it all the time. Its intermintient and it didnt happen once in the drive from my house to the gym and back. Maybe it was just the plugs as they were pretty fouled.
