I have an 05 evo 8 and the only mods I have are a HKS RS intake and Greddy RS BOV with a recirc setup. After I got my new clutch installed, an ACT Street, my max boost went from 1.58 to 1.61 for some reason. Anyway, Sometimes when I accelerate hard I get boost cut and its like my turbo just stopped spooling. It is very random though and I never know when it is going to happen. I'm sure a tune would help but it seems like a waste of money to tune it with just 2 mods. Any Ideas?

 

Check the hoses to your bov/dv setup. R U using stock tubes or some custom cut hoses. The original hoses carry special connectors with pills in the connectors. Make sure you have boost signals to correct locations so everything is running correctly.
