Anyway, I recently got the P.O.S. replaced by a proper metal-core cat. Mine was from Vibrant Performance. Significantly better flow (578 CFM), and should last considerably longer.

I agree 100%, and that is exactly what I mean by "High Quality" High Flo CAT. I definetly do NOT want a ceramic core CAT.

You might've just made my decision to go with a High Flo. So by what you're saying "If I were to go with a Test Pipe"
I'll have the burnt fuel smell, and like u said "nicotine" stains , and attention from local cops
Although flames are cool.

I was also under the impression that with a Test Pipe you Lose Torque and Gain Horsepower Vs. With a High Flo CAT you Gain Torque and Still Gain Horsepower but not as much Horsepower as a Test Pipe. This is another reason why I'm undecided. Anybody have pics of the JDM rear bumper with the Fujitsubo RM01A?
You do not lose torque when you go to a test pipe. You actually gain more torque. The higher flowing the exhaust the more torque and horsepower you will gain with turbocharged applications. Just go with what Kayaalp said and get a high quality high-flow-cat with a metallic core like the mentioned Vibrant one. You do not need to get something JDM for a good high flowing cat.

There is not point in getting something JDM, because they cost too much. An American one will be just as good and it will cost less. If you want to be JDM bling bling tite go for it and burn your money away.

How much was the Buschur high-flow-cat? It will be definitely cheaper if you got the Rally Cat. The Rally Cat is just a pipe that looks like a cat.

Negative, a rally cat is a resnator cover with a cat cover. The flow is still somewhat restrected compair to a true test pipe. The burschur high flow cat is 150. I believe the RRE is around 200? They quote me 265 + install last time.

a high flow cat gutted will flow very similar to test pipe. The burschur one is a true 3" high flow cat also. This is why I gutted my burschur high flow cat. I don't see the point of spend the extra money on something that i can simply modified to flow more air out.

That's what I would do. You really can't go wrong with the 3" Vibrant for just $160 bucks.

There's a reason for that You can get a Catco for around $65 at Summit Racing or any other store. These are pretty much the cheapest cats on the market.

I'm not sure that a ceramic-core Catco really qualifies as a "high flow" cat.

As I've posted previously, you can get a proper metal-core race cat for $160 from Vibrant.

I always thought that a Test Pipe Robs a "Little Bit" of Torque BUT Gains Horsepower, and that The High Flo CAT Gains Torque AND Gains Horsepower, just NOT AS MUCH HP as a Test Pipe. Several people have told me this too.

Going JDM or not, my point is that I do NOT want a CERAMIC CORE CAT. Most JDM stuff is great and well worth it IMHO. Especially the sick looking JDM Bumper with the diffuser.

And I'm not bling bling anything, I just want quality.

What about the brand "Helix", someone highly recomended it to me for High Flo CAT's, I just can't find anybody who stocks Helix anywhere, I called Gruppe-S and they said they don't stock it anymore. .
