I want to get a megan downpipe and test pipe for my Evo IX w/ Jun BL exhaust...

Just wondering if there is any difference in parts between an evo VIII and IX, because I know the Megan cat-back is different.

Also, is anyone running these parts and how is the quality????

Zeus, Where u at!! I love my megan exhaust it has a great sound and the quality has been holding up great. I dont know if the DP and the Cat r diff for the evo 9 from megan racing. If u dont get your answer here, PM Zeus he will tell u for sure. He can also get u a good price on them shipped to your door!

As for the JunBL I already have it! I love the thing, it's absolutely amazing. Sounds like a louder deeper version of the stock exhaust, and it looks HOT.

I don't think Megan has released their new downpipe for the ACD (05 -06) equipped cars yet but I may me wrong. The test pipe is the same on both the VIII and the IX.

 

Megan DP won't fit a 05+ EVO ... it doesn't clear the ACD ... does you Jun BL have a bung for the O2 that isn't being used because the CAT has an O2 bung already?

No the megan won't fit, they haven't released it yet. Zeus said something about it in another post, I don't think it should be too long though

 

aww damn dude! i have the carbon ti cat-back, what dp and test pipe should i get since that whole set up i got was a waste of money

 

Honestly you may want to check to see what buschur or one of the vendors has that fits if you dont want to wait for the megan.

 

The test pipes are different for VIIIs and IXs.

The VIII is completely straight through and NOT resonated.
The IX is resonated and generally regarded to be quiet for a test pipe.
