i'm thinking about the Weapon-R or magan racing intake-mainifolds...
which would be best, the car is not tuned and has the stock turbo still

would i need a re-flash?

TouringBubble, you're the noob this time, because he's asking about INTAKE manifolds.

Nosbrody, it is not recommended to touch the intake manifold when still on the stock turbo. That is a mod that is typically done MUCH LATER in the modding process, such as when you've already done a large turbo upgrade with huge FMIC, meth injection (or race gas), standalone ECU, upgraded throttlebody, 1000cc injectors, and every other possible mod. So, are you sure you wanted to ask about intake manifolds, or did you really want to talk about EXHAUST manifolds, which is what TouringBubble thought you meant?

You would probably need a reflash for the intake manifold, but frankly, you wouldn't even be asking that question if you had a car that could actually benefit from an aftermarket intake manifold, and you also would not have a car like that without even being tuned yet...

I think Weapon R does, but I don't think Megan does. I also don't think this guy really knows what he's talking about.

Yeah, I'm thinking that there is some confusion about which side of the head the manifold in question is on.

Either way, I should've read the post better.

he means exhaust manifold i am guessing because megan racing does not even make an intake. i have it on my car and noticed the difference after i installed it. you will like it and plus if later done the road you want to get an egt gauge then it will be plug and play since it already comes with the egt holes.

Those are not EGT holes - they are anti-lag ports. Why are people recently saying these are EGT holes???

Also, the Megan tubular header is known to crack - there's really no reason to spend money on it when porting your stock costs less, makes more power, and WON'T crack.

Look at my mods from the sig...
I took the car to my mechanic to put the intercooler pipes and cams... and i found out 3 cracks on my mr manifold....not 1 ...but 3!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im so pissed... what should i do?
Im thinking to put either HKS manifold or GTspec!
HKS is more expensive but i want my car to be powerfull and relieble.
So what do you sugest???

The egt probe will not fit in the anti-lag ports as the probe is not even close to size. I never had any problems with my megan manifold except some discoloring but have heard of many cracking

why would an intake manifold not benefit a car at 300hp, but it will benefit a car at 600hp?

i'm sorry, but i disagree with your assesment warr. i think an intake manifold can change the characteristics of even a stock turbo car. longer runners you migt see more torque. smaller plenum, you'll see faster throttle response. bigger plenum, slower response but less pressure drop and smaller pressure pulses. just like well designed cams can improve performance, a well designed intake manifold can improve performance. the stock manifold certain does the job well, and for most i don't think the 800 dollar price tag would justify the need to play around with the power band. so in that respect, i agree with you warr.
