My T/case is whining so I'm thinking of upgrading it to a shep stg 2. Prob is tho, tht I've got an acd transfer case and my JDM evo8 has AYC as well. I spoke to John Shep n he told me tht I cud put the non ACD transfer case. I just want to know if ACD can be eliminated on an AYC evo. If u guys wana know why Im doing this is coz the ACD t/case is falling out of my budget.

Does it kinda sound like a donkey? And is it in the front or back? Just cause it is whining doesn't mean it needs to be replaced. I'm not sure but I believe that if you swap the AYC for a RS rear end you need more than just the TC. Drive shafts, Ecu and some other small things

 

I would think the ACD and AYC work together. I would think you would need to eliminate both.
