New Clutch

Ok just got my new Exedy Twin HD Cerametallic clutch in the mail. Thanks to Buschur for the quick shipping. Looking forward tell I get my ported exhaust manifold and o2 housing from you guys. Anyways I spent the past week trying to search for ways to break in a clutch. I got everything from 50 miles to 1500 miles. Taking it slow or doing a few quick pulls from 30-130. And some people even said don’t break it in its not necessary. Well I searched the Exedy manual and it says "After installation, drive carefully and gently. (Travel for approximately 500 km in a city area) If the clutch is used in a condition where the friction surface is not contacting fully with the mating surface, it will cause burning, judder/shudder or short life."
In a week or so KevinD and I will install this along with the new manifold, o2 housing and my Zeitronix set up. I will post some pictures of the install when finished.

got this from ACT's website

"For organic street discs "00 and SS" we recommend breaking in the clutch for 200-300 miles with mild engagement such as stop and go city driving prior to racing or spirited driving. ACT race discs usually only require a few hard slips to lap in the surfaces prior to normal driving or racing. Do not overheat the clutch during the break in period".

great looking clutch, keep us posted how it works out for you in the long run, i just put in my RPS MAX and it is great, it grabs soon as you need it to. i have not launch mine at all , i have about 300 miles now on it, i figured, do it right and take it easy for at least 1000 miles
