No acceleration (sometimes)...

Car: 06 Evo - 8500miles

Problem:
sometimes it works good, sometimes boost gauge shows boost, but car is not accelerating like it should - basicly works like NA. Once even was boosting up to 0.2 bar only.
Oil - ok, guys in service told that it is ok when they check on computer :/
No smoke from exhaust.

What can it be? I need help, because guys in Mitsubishi (San Bernardino) didnt find anything - and when they were checking the car, car was working fine.

Can it be dead turbocharger?

Ohh I dont know if it is connected with the problem, but electricity and oil temp gauges are stopped working - dont know why...

I had this problem in my eclipse and in my evo. It only happens once in a great while. If you let off the gas and then gun it again, it starts to move like normal. Never figured out what it was. Thought it was the BOV but nope never solved it...

vacuum leak, or maybe a dead coil or injector. Is the check engine light on?

Match engine revs and don't shift into 5th from 1st. 5th gear at 35mph tends to do that.

evo542: NO check engine light. Guys at Mitsaubishi service gonna find it out? I would hear if it was injector ;-) Coil problems... dont think so...

svtkiller: Maybe you had some problems with shifting but not me - I know how to drive a car

You could datalog your car. If it was a vaccuum leak the boost wouldn't climb. Maybe it's pulling timing...

"only boosting to 0.2 bar" - thats your problem, could WG solenoid sticking open.

If it works perfect most of the time and doesn't boost sometimes then sounds like the WG sol, which will not elicit fault

but if it doenst boost at all all of the time or if the problem is consistant it's a leak

Cant be coils - you'll get missfire fault 0300
