are you using t clamps?

go to an exhaust shop who has an expander and have them stretch the edge a little so theres a little roll so the clamp doesn't slide off. my friend had the same problem and this solved it for him

cheers!

Well lets start off by asking if you use t-bolt clamps. If you are there is too much stress to the lowerintercooler pipe to the turbo outlet. Get a bigger or longer cuppler so it will flex! And if that doesnt work I have know clue. The biggest thing to do is to use t-clamps not the stock ones, but I would think you would use them.

I use the coupler with the flex "hump" in it and t-bolt clamps on mine. plus the end of the pipe is beaded.

Welding bad idea. No weld. Engine move, pipe no flex, break weld, big leak.
Really a flex coupling (the type with the bulb in the middle) with a a t-bolt clamp on either side is the standard procedure. No one has asked what boost you rocking...so I will. How much?

Is your pipe one piece? Where are you talking about welding it at? If your talking about at the turbo or the intercooler, yeah, not the best idea.

And as far as welds breaking, that shouldn't happen. When welds break, thats a sign of a bad weld. The surrounding metal should break before the weld.

I used a rolled lip on each end of a pipe with the flex style coupling on each end and high quality worm gear style clamps running 30 psi with my old FMIC (for sale, see link in sig) and now with the Buschur Racing "race" style FMIC I have Buschurs lower IC pipe installed by Dan at Buschur racing.... probably a custom job by Dan to mate up to the GT-35R.

my lower ic pipe has 3 pieces. 1 that connects to the turbo came with the turbo kit, 1 that connects to the intercooler is ams pipe and the 1 in the middle i custom made, this is the one that keeps popping off. middle part is the one i want to weld.

Okay, you can definitely weld that together. Most LICP's are one piece.
