I dont think its bad though, you can run 12.0 with 100 oct. Go try again and see if you get the same results.

No, your AFRs should NOT have changed.

Was it a lot colder out or something, did the boost go up a bit?

whats funny is I have experienced the same problem before. I have filled up with VP101 and had higher afr readings without changing anything... Didnt care to question it....

I was also talking to Tony at UMS about different types of race fuel. He said Sunoco 101 has a lot of ethanol and he would have to tune specifically for that fuel. Regardless of the octane rating, he said all fuels are not the same... just my 2c

so how do people turn the boost up and know it is not hurting the car and makeing more power. i put the 100 oct in there so i can fun a few psi higher then my 93 oct map. this is just odd to me.

You can log knock counts using Evoscan or Mitsulogger. If you see minimal (0-2) knock counts then you know its not hurting the car.

You were probably tuned on non-oxygenated 93 and the 100 is oxygenated. Oxygenated fuel has oxygen in the fuel which leans the tune some. Usually not quite that much, but it does make a difference. Check that.

so how do i check this. with my tuner??

now what if i get a 100oct map on my car with this gas? will i still be able to turn te boost up and make more power or do i got to find another kind of race fuel like vp 101??

i run sunoco fuel only. 93 oct and today i was gonna try 100oct and higher boost but i never made it that far

The supplier and internet website can tell you if your particular fuel is oxygenated or not. I've used 104 that was oxygenated and then bought 105 that wasn't and my AFR's changed by .3 - .4. Sunoco was the 105 I believe, with the 104 being VP. I'd have to check that, but if you'll read about the fuel types, it ususally lists whether it's oxygenated or not. Check redrockdist.com, they give quite a bit of specs, as to the fuel types.
