100oct in tank and afr's are LEAN

ok i just put 100oct in my car. the tank was empty. i normaly run 93oct and my afr's are from 11.4 11.5 to 11.1 10.9 at red line.

now with the 100oct in the tank my afr's are 11.8 12.2. im running the same boost 23psi..

i am also tuned.

i was told i can put 100oct in the car and turn the boost up a bit. i did not do so because it is already to lean i think. so whats going on here???? help would be great

Thats beyond strange. I have no idea what could be the problem as it should not to that. Higher octane (or lower) should not affect AFRs. Running 100+octane should allow you to run leaner because it burns slower (and you can turn up the boost).

i thought adding higher oct would make the car run richer there for turning up the boost to make it lean out a lil bit and make more power.

do you have some way of changing the tune or map you are running? I mean how did your afrs change?

you don't mean your afr changed just from the different gas do you?

yes.

car is tunned. i run 93 oct and my afr's are normaly around 11.4 and 10.9 to redline running 23psi

i then filled the tank with 100oct and my afr's when leaner. 12.2 to 12.0 at the same boost leavels

Are you 100% positive that you filled up with 100 octane and not something that has less octane than stated? Did you get it from a can or through the pumps of some sort?
