hey, im new to the forum; used to be a mustang cobra guy and decided to try the evo; heard nothing but great things about this car and am not disappointed; have a quick question concerning exhaust; I was wondering what anybody thought about the tanabe Medalion Concept G Blue or the apexi n1 ex-ti exhaust; r both street legal or just the apexi?

apexi is definitely not lighter-and for sure the buschur flows better. from what i heard-apexi japan has just filed for bankruptcy.

 

yeah dude, buy buschur racing everything else is crap and doesent make power.

 

To answer your question the Tanabe G does not have a cat with it. Its a straight pipe. Go with the Buschur racing or AMS. Buschur is lighter, but as for power gains it should be around the same. Buschur may be a little higher.

AMS all the way for me. buscher is GREAT too. but i just like the sound of AMS. but they both make about the same power (from what i have seen)

on a side note. y did u get rid of the cobra? reason i am asking is because i have a 03 cobra and couldnt give it up for anything!!

What is it that you're looking for?

For POWER, the greddy Ti makes the most with just the cat back.

For looks, any Ti exhaust looks great.

For quiet the RSR ExMag, Fujistubo Legalis R, Mines are quite.

You should just get narrow down to what you like and get it. You don't want to go further down the road and think that you should had gotten a different one.

 

It sounds like you are looking for an exhaust that isn't too loud, right?
Buchur makes decent power, but it's very loud, imo. I'm going from Buchur to the Garage HRS, which is an awesome exhaust. The Tanabe touring may fit your needs as well.

 

AMS TBE with Cat is not as loud as the Bushcur but still gives the power you want i had the buschur exhaust and it made power and sounded awesome but the AMS TBE fit so much better it looks stock!
