Flycaster"So far, 2 Mahles have broken that I've read about - Brew's and another guy on NASIOC, both right around 500whp. But, to be fair, a Coswoth (JE) piston broke at the same power level too, although we don't know the cause yet. The bottom line is, in my opinion, ANY piston will break if subjected to detonation, but the 2618 pistons will take more power and abuse. The trade-off, of course, is the 2618 piston and ring will wear out sooner, it's just common sense."
