gt3040r???????

looking for a turbo for my friends beast...

He had a innovative turbo on here putting out 490whp at 17.5psi. Good power but he blew 3 of these turbos in a year. His buddy also with a 944 gt car blew 4 in the same timeframe. They are sick of it and are switching to garrett. I am helping him choose a turbo. I was talking to garrett about the 3076r which i will be running for time attack. He told me there is a turbo(i guess hybrid) that uses the 35r compressor wheel and the 3076 turbine wheel. He said it will make the same power as the 35r with almost a fast spool as the 3076. Has anybody heard of this? thanks in advance.

Or just have him step up to a 35R the turbo cant keep up with the displacement of the motor to much air thats why he is going though 30R like they where spark plugs

I know this will get me hated on here since I came from the honda camp. I had a gt3040R .63AR on my 2.0 liter Integra GS-R. It did 420whp and 300 lb/ft on pump and 515whp and 350 lb/ft on race gas. Great spool but it was starting to choke itself at that level.
