Thanks Guyz for the responses.... This is not my first car, but this is my first F/I car .... I'm not no punk kid either.... Just please understand my fustration

Specific Problems:

Car is missfiring, I don't know in what cylinder...
WHen quarter throttle the car "sputters"and gets very "jerkie"..... while trying to maintaine a speed of 60mph, the car feels like it's struggling, .. and feels like it's about to choke. I have to shift VERY early, like at 3K or lower. I will be doing the following this weekend.

I'm going to re-check all hoses.
Install new MBC( even thoe it's not nessessary, I just want the peice of mind)
Install JDM BOV
change all fluids ( oil was changed 200miles ago, but to make sure I will do it for my peice of mind)
Hopefully take my car to AMS in DC. for a diagnostic check
Buy new spark plugs( gapping them to 25) CUrrently at 27-28( Previous owner)

I hope this answers some questions that where raised..... Please ask more.....

1) Misfire is plugs. Get a fresh set of NGK BPR7ES from Advanced Auto and gap them to .026. Get an extra set and keep them spare. These are very cheap...

2) Part throttle jerking is because you can't drive the Evo at part throttle and partial boost. If the BOV is strong, you'll jerk all over the place. You need to go full boost, no boost, or learn to go partial boost without jerking.

3) If the jerking is that bad all the time and forcing you to shift at 3k, then you have a wide open IC pipe somewhere causing a massive boost leak. First thing you always do on a car like this is a boost leak test and compression test. Learn how to do the boost leak test at http://vfaq.com/mod/ICtester.html. However, this leak is so big that you should be able to find it just by checking your IC pipes. One of them is very loose...

4) No, do not change oil if it was changed 200 miles ago. It hasn't even had time to break down.

5) That's not AMS, that's Atlantic Motorsports. They know show cars - they don't know power and diagnostics as well. I would go to VIP garage where you will get the start treatment.

6) If you want us to believe you're not a dumb, punk kid who wasted his money on an f'd up used Evo, then please don't type "UR" and "U" all the time. Just type out the words like a normal adult.

Thank you very much for your response. I will do what you say and update when I'm done.

Ok ok ok....... reguardless, your going to still think I "wasted my money on a f'd up used EVO"... so my typing has nuthin to do with it. I'm very sorry for the way I type and hope that doesn't determine what type of person I am.

I'm still doubting all the IC pipes are well connected. You can't tell for sure until you do a boost leak test. The clamps can all be tight, but that doesn't mean the hoses/pipes all have a good seal. Your problem may only rear it's ugly head when applying boost pressure, so be sure to do the boost leak test.

Update:

REconnect ALL lines to the turbo, gapped all pluggs to .025, installed new Waistegate solenoid. reconnected the battery...

EVO is fixed. all problems have been (from what I can see) fixed. I get full boost and no hessitation. My idle is still alittle low but I will see if Al can help me on that part. There was a small boost leak from the MBC that I had overlooked.

I will be purchasing a new IX bov on Mon. and hopfully I will get tuned so that I can see what #'s I'm putting down.

I would like to thank EVERYONE that responded to this thread, everyones advice seemed to have worked and my car is up and running again. Thanks again.

Yes, Al can set your idle wherever you want it.

Glad things have improved greatly - I know it's a relief.

Rockon dude. You can bump your idle up in ecuflash..

If you can load the map yourself, you can do this.

Load your map or dynoflash, baseflash.

Under the,
"Current ROM Metadata" Heading

Open the dropdown menu for Parameteres, Then go to the idle settings.

Desired idle in neutral and drive and with the ac on are the ones your going to want to turn up. You just select the cell you want to modify then and press the + symbol or - symbol

Thanks man........ I'm alittle intimidated in adjusting the settings that Al set for my car...... I will wait till I get tuned before trying to adjust something I have no clue about. I still have alot of reading to do.

Get your butt up here in April and let Shiv loose on that flash.. You will be very pleased with the results I am sure. You tell him what mods you have and he will tune your car to make the most of your mods.

Let me know.. you have a place to stay if so.

PS.. My cams FINALLY ship next week.
