They make a 2.4 stroker?

I always thought that the 2.4 is a different block from the 4g63. I went through this vendor site called JSC and they have a 2.4 liter stroker from crowerr.

http://www.jscspeed.com/evo/evo_base...bc_stroker.htm

that's the link to the kit. Any input to this stroker kit? how is this better then the 2.3 stroker.

It has a crank with a longer stroke, 104mm I believe.

IMO I think that's too much, just kills your top end.

There is the Brian Crower 2.4 liter stroker kit, which has a 102mm stroker crank and 86mm pistons. With that kit piston speeds will be too high, because of the high stroke.

You can also opt for a built 4G64 motor, which is 2.4 liters unmodified. The 4G64 has the Mitsubishi crank found is the AMS and Buschur Racing 2.3 liter stroker kits. With the 4G64 you will have the same RPM potential and piston speeds of both the non Road Race version of the AMS kit and the Buschur Racing kit.

Personally I would go for the built 4G64 short block from Road Race Engineering. With that much displacement you will be able to reach 20psi at 3600rpm with a GT35R and safely rev to 7600rpm.

Mr. Birdie is in California. I deffinitely reccomend talking to Road/Race if your serious about a new motor. I've dealt with them on multiple occassions, and they are a top notch group of people, with reasonable prices to boot.

What does it take to get the 2.4 block to work with the evo 9 head? Isn't there alot of work that need to be done? Tuning Technologies are going to do the motor work and tuning for me. Since I been dealing with them for a long time. I want a reliable block.
