Fixed my codes
I recently threw a few codes
PO101 -MAS
PO300b -misfire
PO401 -EGR
The car was starting to run lik as$, had bad missfires at full throttle high rpm (above 5k)
Every once and a while it hit a brick wall (like a fuel cut) at about 3000-3200rpm
25% throttle cruising. I finally got some time to address all the codes, so....
The EGR was a easy fix. I reached around the manifold, under the throttle body found the EGR and felt around. It took me a few mins but i did find a stray vacuum line near EGR (normal small line) I felt the EGR again, and found a small nipple that i over felt before. It slid on a little too easy, so i zip tied it.
The MAS air was a easy fix too (takes 2 mins if you have a aftermarket cone filter.) Soon as i took it out, I couldnt believe it even worked. it was so gummed up and oily. Cleaning it was easy. Just bought some MAS cleaner from an auto shop.

The mis fire was caused by one of the above (most likely the MAS) cause soon as i fixed those two. and reset my ecu. the codes never came back and never missed. The car was definitly down on some power.
The ECU was reset while i was working on the car. Before i started i unhooked the negative terminal of the battery and hooked it back up when i was done.
Hope this helps any future searchers for these codes.

Yea i did that already. test drove it, all that good stuff. Been a couple days. no problems yet. If the codes come back, then im on to a differant route. I'll let everyone know.
Im very **** about spark plugs, i change them all the time. If i ever get any lil problem i change them first.

Heres the update on this.
The mis-fire came back but not nearly as bad. Still have not thrown any codes. But a slight mis came back at full throttle.
Put 8.5 magnecor spark plug wires on it. Car runs great now. I think it was the wires the whole time....the other 2 problems just made it worse.
The car has 53k miles on it. Just wondering when the coils are going to go up? Did a search, didnt find anything. So maybe they'll last a lil while for me.
