Or how about this one http://www.motiongarage.com/store/pr...roducts_id=491
Thanks all. I figured I would get a lot of negative comments because I purchased it on ebay.

Liqquid

Yes it does neckdown, but no where near stock sized. Have you seen the stock unit?

A lot of companies neckdown, even the one you show which I believe it a nisei steel pipe. It may not neck down on the piping, but it necks down on the coupler. The turbo outlet is only so big. I think transitionioning slowly from one size to another is a good thing.

But hey for for 59 bucks you can't be beat.

Oh and for anyone that is looking at purchasing this because of the cost, the guy said the shop he gets them from can only make them in patches, so keep a look out for this buyer. I do not want to rave too much until I actually get the pipe. I will be updating this post when it comes in. He said he is shipping it Monday.

Tbolts are sitting here waiting

Hey I wasn't trying to bash you, I got some ebay stuff too lol...

I was just actually checking out my stock licp yesterday while changing trans fluid, I suppose you're right, maybe the one you pictured is larger than that, but it's hard to tell from the photo... as far as necking down goes, it's really not it's "necking out" larger after the turbo...so the less distance you run in the smaller piping, the less restrictive the whole intake path is, no?

From everyone who I've read of, they say the spool is improved and maybe even power from adding the other (2.5 all the way) licp's... I'm not so sure about this one compared to those, that was my concern, not that it's on ebay.

I'm sure you'll post the results once you install it?

Edit: I'm looking at the ebay ad closer now, and it looks like from the coupler on the turbo end that you're right, that is a bit bigger piping that stock, as long as that's the right coupler on there... I'm waiting to see the results, let us know if it's good

I agree and I did not think you were bashing me or my thread.

Yes, I agree that 2.5" all the way might be good, but with most of the vendors and companies making them transition there is no really back to back dynos of this making any difference on a relatively stock car.

It would be nice to see vendors that dont transistion like nisei and burshur against companies that do such as this one, ams, injen but that will not happen.

I really don't think it matters and that makes me curious of what big HP cars are putting down and what LICP they go with? transitioning or not?

I was going to get the steel nisei as pictured above until I ran across this on ebay. After a few green beers and a me and buddies watching evo videos on utube I couldn't resist the buy it now. I actually did a search before buying, but in the end I didn't want to wait anymore because the price was too good to pass up.

It was like seeing jenna jameson downtown hookin with a sign that says $50..

they have to have it has to neckdown...the outlet for the turbo is smaller than 2.5 inch's....

LIQQUID, before you speak and say its a neck down... maybe you should look at ur reducer/coupler.. that shrinks it to the size as everyone else.

the difference with the ams design instead of there being a coupler with a harsh change of size, it smooths into another size.

cheers!

Yes I see your point, I'm sure the idea is a smooth transition so there isn't one spot that causes turbulance.

I understand what you're saying now, honestly I've never looked at a picture of one designed like this before, only the other design. Glad I did say something then!!

To all those looking for a good LICP at a good price see my first post.

THis thing is awesome. I bought it really cheap, but I believe they raised the prices.

Check out my link on the first post to get the guys ebay handle.

Here are the pics. The pipe was packaged beautifully and wrapped so it would not get scratched. You can see tha the pic. The couplers are grade A, and the worm clamps are very sturdy, but I will be using tbolt clamps.

Her are the pics................
