Can't build more that 11 psi.

My car is all fncked up. It won't boost past 11 psi, I think the Stupid Boost controller is the problem. anyone had any problems with the Greddy Profec B-spec II. I am not posting this in Evo General because warrtalon will just flame me for buying that controller. I think the solenoid might be stuck open.

I think 11 psi is what you wastegate naturally stabilizes boost pressure at.

The EBC is just not working. This is base wastegate pressure, so resolve your EBC problem. it could be the EBC itself, the electrical wiring, or any of the hoses in the boost system.

Why would I treat you any differently here than Evo General? This is the more proper forum to begin with, and I only have a problem with EBCs when people don't know how to use them but spend $300-400 anyway to do what an MBC could do. You should be able to figure this out with some troubleshooting, and the basic troubleshooting steps would be:

1) Check the EBC, its settings, and all the hoses - do you find the problem? If no, then...
2) Remove EBC and return to stock boost system. Does it now boost to 19-20psi? If no, then...
3) Check BCS, hoses, and restrictor pills (2). Do you find anything? If no, then...
4) Install an MBC to see if you can get any boost beyond 11. If no, then...
5) Inspect wastegate...

What you wanna do 1st is eliminate the possibility of a faulty EBC from the equation. To do this just disconnect it and install a known, properly functioning MBC, in its stead. Then with the MBC set to full soft, verify base WG pressure of approximately 11#. Then go ahead and set the WG preload point to 18# by shortening the threaded WGA rod. Now, raise boost from that point up to your target boost of 22-23# via the MBC. Finally, with your WG duty cycle once again back under control, go ahead and reinstall the EBC, if you should so desire.

This happened to me as well. But my issue was I replaced all the vacume lines not knowing about the "restirctor pill" that was in the factory lines. After I put that culprate back in I was back to stock boost levels...

It's a little brass sphere with a hole in the middle that allows the boost control solenoid (BCS) to regulate boost. There's two of them: one in the long hose that connects to the BCS and one in the short hose going from the tee to the compressor outlet nipple. Both must be there in order for the stock boost system to work. I think they need to be there for the EBC, too, but I don't know for sure.

right now your just boosting on the stock waste gate spring which is 11psi.
same thing happen to me with my hks evc. one day it would only boost 11 psi. next day it was not controlling boost at all. so i just tosed it and run a mbc. much simpler and i like mbc better in my opinion. just less to go wrong

Yes, you should have checked it before posting, and posting on off-topic is just dumb.
