5zigen Pro Racer X-Tube S-Spec Exhaust.
From what i understood from the pictures in 5zigens website, they claim that the x-tube style exhaust has a better flow characteristics from the single pipe design...
i think it has to do with air flow dynamics... a more narrow tube increases the speed of the gases, and they are trying to take advantage of it, plus they use two pipes in order to evacuate more quantity!

Got it installed today. No dyno other than my but.
Feels great. It tucks up snug to the bottom of the car. sounds just a tad but louder than the stock exhaust at idle. at WOT
.
Since it is a JDM exhaust its kinda short and tucked into the bumper so no big tip sticking out. I am still running the stock cat. Once that is gone the sound will probably get even more beefy.
Pics and vid later today. I might see if i cant get my friend to follow me and record the sound on the road

The hairy remark had me rolling.
Wait and tell us how it sounds after driving it hard for ~500-1000 miles. The packing in the muffler will breakdown a little bit and the quality of the sound will change...maybe a little deeper and possibly a little quiter depending on what type of packing, quantity used, etc...
Can you still have a conversation in the cabin at normal voice levels while driving (this includes idle, wot, cruising, lugging it like a tractor [we all do it in traffic...])?

Should sound interesting. I've only seen X pipes on Engines with two banks and inline 6's pretty much anything with two manifolds. I'll be surprised if it makes much of a difference in anything really on a turbo car where everything dumps into one manifold.
I could see it being good for ground clearance since you run two smaller diameter pipes with equal volume as one large one but, that's about it.

Conversation is not a problem. although ive never really had much of a conversation at WOT. I'm usually grinning to hard to get a word out.
It may not make much of a difference. But thats fine by me. Its cool as a cucumber!

Looks like it's well built but I've seen comparions that prove x-pipe designs to be useless on 4 cylinder engines let alone turbo engines. In a turbo application, the less back pressure the better, but x-pipes/smaller tubing will inevitably reduce flow.

Only still kinda quiet. and the sound from my little camera kinda sucks. should get a bit deeper over the next few tanks of gas.
Smaller tubing reducing flow... well i suppose if there was only one pipe then yea. but if you do the calcs, 2 pipes are moving similar amounts to a full 3" which is significantly more than stock. If i dont get a but load of power from it... o well. no biggie. Its kinda nice to be different than the rest of the pack.
I havent seen any info on other x-pipe designs. you got any sites in particular that have info on them?
Yea i probably should have researched this beforehand. However, i was not really sure if i was actually gonna make it to the states.

I will put them up tonight. My contact tells me that in discussing this exhaust with 5zigen reps. It was designed for lots of clearance. It does definately tuck up nice under the car.

Exhaust was rubbing so i brought it back in to RRE. I purchased the RRE High Flow cat, they installed and fixed the rubbing. This is getting super deep. i will try to do some more video today or tomorrow. It sounds like a completely different car. I can definitely feel the power gain.

Hi y'all. If anyone comes across this again with curiosities or opportunity, here are some more pictures of the fitment to the JDM rear bumper. Really nice in my opinion! Sticks out just right, not at an angle. I'll get a video/sound clip if requested..
glad you're enjoying the exhaust!
