forge wastegate (uncontrollable boost)

installed a forge wategate and now my boost is out of controll its boosting way past 30 psi.......i checked and replaced all my lines....all the lines are hooked up correctly......i cant figure this out...any help/tips would be great...

I know this mighth sound like a stuid answer but did you try removing the wastegate rod from the manifold and adjusting it down (turn towards the firewall).

Yeah, you need to adjust the knuckle bolt (part that attaches to wastegate flapper) and extend it.

Either the pressure reference to the unit is leaking somewhere prior to the unit, whatever type of boost control you're using is not sending a pressure signal to the actuator to open it, it's not adjusted properly, etc.

good luck man, my car does the same thing. I have a FP wastegate and my car will spike to 35.1psi when I have my boost controller turned on.

maybe you have it adjusted too tight. I have the fp and had the same thing, but then I readjusted it with less pressure and it fine now

I adjusted it and it still does it. My car only over boost when I have my Greddy EBC turned on. I even have my EBC set to 25psi.

what is the set gain at? try turning that down

I think it is set at 10, I'm not sure. I'll check after I get off work.

you may want to 0 everything out and start from scratch. what is the boost % set at?

i had the same problem turned out the evc lines were hooked up wrong

My gain was set at 5 and I have the boost set at only 22psi. I know I have all of the lines hook up right.
