IX Tranny help!!!

hi ,

I've got 2006 IX 6 speed tranny. Even I bought my car I have got gear problems ! gears are hard ! or I feel it's hard ! I miss some gears at high speeds or heavy loads...etc... as I remember evo8 gears are different it is soft I think...

as I search threads , people said that ''Ix has got teflon coated lines...etc...''

can you explain this tranny system ?

finally , what is your advices for my tranny ? must check? or change my tranny fluid ?

thank you

how long ago did you buy it? most likely the syncro, take it to the dealership and get it fixed under warranty, is it for every gear? it could also be too much tranny fluid

Mine is the same way but it gets better as the car warms up.

yeah that's normal, you have to let the fluids warm up before you drive

It sounds like something's not right. Not sure what you mean by "hard" vs. "soft" but it's probably a good idea to get it checked out. The tranny in my IX has always been super smooth. Obviously you have to let it warm up, especially when it is cold, but after that it should be pretty smooth. I would get it looked at by the dealer or a mechanic with experience with these trannies.
