Clutch for Evo 2005 VIII

Hey, I am new to this website. I own a 2005 Evo VIII and I am looking to buy a new clutch and flywheel. What do you guys suggest? I am looking to keep it at a reasonable price, but want a good quality product.

when i replaced the clutch on my viii i ended up going with a prostreet 10.5lb flywheel, and an exedy single plate organic.

the clutch was a little bit hard until i got used to it, the pedal feel was pretty heavy. however, once i got accustomed to driving it, i loved it. it grabbed like a demon and shifted lightning fast.

i also was a really big fan of the lighter flywheel.

sometimes the clutch was a bit of a pain in traffic though. i have heard a couple local guys really liking the exedy twin plate, even going as far to say that it has an almost stock pedal feel, and is great for daily driving. but i haven't gotten to drive one yet, so i couldn't tell you anything except what i have heard.

it depends on your driving style, Track use, future upgrades/HP for the car. If you want something close to stock then Exedy Single or ACT streetdisc will do. Anything around or more than 450 whp/wtq, then a twin disc is needed. Now if you want a full out drag car with uber amounts of WHP/WTQ then a triple disc or better is needed.

I currently have an ACT HDSS with Streetlite flywheel and I am satisfied with it. not problems with traffic (I drive in DC traffic from time to time) I have minimal mods currently as well.
