Trust me - its worth the money - I run nearly 50 psi of boost on my Gt42R with two of those pumps

My question is how much they flow in tandem in comaprison to twin in tank walbros

What I'd be VERY interested in seeing is a test of two "unbalanced" pumps in your AMS fuel system configuration. In other words, what is the effect of running a higher output external pump, like a Bosch 044, in place of the external Walbro 392 when both are pumping into the "Y" connector? I've been wondering whether the external would cause disruption effects in the leg of the system containing the in-tank pump because of the higher flow and pressure from the bigger external? If you'd hook up that setup, I'd send you a new Bosch 044 to use for the testing. LMK, Martin, as I've got a package coming your way in the next couple days.

Effectively the second test down is similar to what your talking about. The in-tank flows less than the inline and we ran both pumps in parallel into a y-fitting. I should have a Bosch 044 pump coming soon so I'll do some more testing.

After this thread runs its course, I'd like a moderator to prune it and sticky it. This kind of objective testing is a huge resource for Evo owners.

I am very grateful for these tests. Thanks a ton Martin. For my application, I feel I have a very affordable system that I will not be able to overrun with my mods. I run an intank Walbro an external Walbro that run "in series." Since the in tank Walbro was fine on my car to around 530whp/490wtq (Dynojet).

According to this test, at 33psi of boost, my current system delivers over 30% more fuel. Due to the nice flat fuel delivery curve, I should have enough fuel to go as high as ~675whp. That means at this point, my 1000cc injectors are clearly my limiting factor in my fuel system.

So, with my 35R and my AMS 2.3, I'm in great shape to push for 600whp without worrying about fuel.

BTW, my external Walbro is mounted in my engine bay. It is strapped under my front strut tower bar. More on that later.

Thanks, Martin. What I'm looking to have results for is your fuel system with the 044 replacing the in-line Walbro, and possibly the Buschur modded 255 in-tank replacing the standard 255.

Thanks for great info!

What is the weight of the calibration fluid that you used for testing? Is the same as gasonline? Do you know the specific weight per gallon?

Also, can you post the results of the 12V testing if you have them( or 12.5 or whatever other voltage your tested). It would be interesting to see the difference in flow since most pumps probably won't see a full 14V at the pump.

Thanks,
Eric

Yes I would love to have it as I'm working on building a fuel cell for my car and looking for the best setup.

Thanks,

Nice test when I had RC run the test with our dual walbros, I was told the same. The intank walbros have a built in pressure relief valve that opens up at around 80psi to protect the pump. The bosch 044 is a badass pump but that sucker is loud as hell. Im anxious to see how the bosch ones do. good job

Martin, thanks for the information.

As for the Buschur pump, I've always made the assumption that the pump simply has the pressure by-pass disabled. Thus, I would predict it would perform similar to the inline walbro.
