Lightbulb Partial throttle boost.. ruins engine?

Hello everyone. I have an Evo IX with Meagan Racing cat-back, cone filter and Slow Boy Racing MBC. My main concerns are the following:

1. Will partial throttle boost ruin an EVO? I noticed when I installed the MBC i had gobs of boost barely stepping on the pedal. I can hit full boost with 25% throttle and the car feels awesome! I understand the AFR is higher, but my car had partial throttle boost with the stock EBC. Will the high boost at partial throttle screw anything up?

2. I noticed I have lots more boost at partial throttle but if I am in 1st gear at 15MPH and gun it, it peaks at 1.5 bar then tapers down to 1.0-1.1 gradually rising to about 1.2 where it stays till redline. I was told the WGA is weak in stock form that being the reason why i loose so much boost. If I ease the throttle i can hit peak boost then it will hold at around 1.3-1.4 bar till redline, so a boost leak does not seem to be the problem. If I do a WOT in 3rd or 4th it will hold at 1.3-1.4. I just ordered the Forge WGA which has a stronger selenoid spring and is adjustable. Will that help maintain my ideal boost at 1.3-1.4?

I'd appreciate any comments and/or suggestions. Drive safe!!

If your motor was tuned correctly then there will be no issue.

No, the wga is not weak, and the Forge WGA won't change the taper. If you spend 2 minutes searching, you'd see that the stock turbo naturally tapers. It would be a better use of money to get a good MBC as opposed to swapping your WGA.
