Drivetrain noise?

I just got my evo and it's the only one I have ever driven. The car does have some sort of performance clutch in it, not sure what one though. My concern is that when starting from first the car seems really really low geared and it kinda sounds like strait cut gears like reverse does. Is that how they sound/is it normal? It also sounds like that when downshifting into first, like when you are coming to a stop. Also when starting off it feels like the brakes drag for a second, but the car only has 30K on it, could the brakes be bad already? Or could it be something like a transfer case? I have a warranty so I am just wondering if I should take the car to get looked at.

Bro I kid you not, mine is doing the same thing now after I put my Exedy Clutch in and started driving it. It's exactly the same and I'm totally lost with the situation. Just today I put new fluids in the Tranny and Tcase to maybe think it was low or bad but it's the same thing.

Normal sounds for a twin, especially the decel noise. I had an Exedy twin on my 03 8 so i know what your going thru. I have an ACT MB7 HDSS w/ prolight flywheel and love it. Smooth as stock on take off and quiet as stock also.
