My alarm is an AST Ultra Start 4500 Two way remote start. I believe this is the only alarm on the market which has a remote start feature for manual transmissions. And another bad thing about this alarm is that one of the two keys you get with the car is used for the alarm so if you want or need two keys for your evo you have to buy another one from the dealer because the key is put into the alarms brain and stays there permanently. These alarms are costly and the intall for our vehice is time consuming even for the absolute best installers. It took my installer 6 hours to do, mainly because there is no wiring diagram for our car yet. Really good alarm though with a million features!

Actually, any alarm that has remote start will work with a manual transmission. I've seen it done countless times before and had a Clifford w/ remote start in my 5spd Prelude. Also, I know that both Clifford and Clarion both offer turbotimer functions in some of their models.

Would 90 seconds be enough for pretty much normal use?

I would think so. The only time you'd need more is under heavy load or high-temp, like if it's 80+ outside.

To clarify, heavy load means revving the engine or racing.

Honestly it depends on how hard you run the car. Daily driving, not going past 4k rpms.. 30 seconds is more than enough. Keep in mind, Mitsubishi and other stock turbo cars; vw 1.8t, subaru wrx, saab turbos are made to be turned on and off and ran like an na motor. It's only when we dogg, and run the car hard we should let it cool down. I've had mine set at 30 seconds for one year and I had no problems with my turbo (volkswagen 1.8t, soon to be an evo, I hope) the longest I've seen somebody set their tt for, is 20 mins.. but that was a civic si turbo, that ran 11s.. just because that motor isnt made for a turbo and needs to cool down for that amount of time. Hope this helps buddy.

I'm setting mine at 90 seconds. Just installed the Blitz DCII last night. Depending on the driving I might go up to 5 minutes if I was beating it on a hot day.

At least 90 seconds for sure hard driving more like 2-2 1/2 minutes. I just use the suto feature on my HKS. I have seen my auto go all the way to 3 minutes under hard driving
