I'm actually planning on some HKS 280 cams with a 20g-LT turbo(EvoGreen).

BTW, don't bother buying the extremly over priced upgrade kit for the 20g. There is a thread floating around here with the part numbers of the pieces you need. It will turn out to be about 80 bucks i believe. If you opt to keep your existing coolant and oil lines, they can be bent.

So is the green upgrade just a new compressor wheel? Or does the compressor housing get enlarged in addition to the new wheel? I've looked and I can't find that $80 kit you spoke of do you have the link?

Here is my Dynojet results, and my mods are listed after...

Exedy Twin Disk
Forced Performance EvoGreen turbo - ported
Forced Performance wastegate
Buschur ported/coated stock exhaust manifold
Buschur stainless steel coated O2 housing
SMC meth kit
Aquamist DDS3
LC-1 wideband w/ XD-16 A/F gauge
Stewart Warner boost gauge
780cc Injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Injen FMIC
Injen LICP
Injen Upper Pipe
Injen Intake
Forge Unos MBC
TTP dowpipe
Test Pipe
TurboXS cat-back

Good luck if you go with one - I love it

Thanks - it's a lot of fun to drive! Yes tuned using EcuFlash by Nate at TPG Tuning - local Pittsburgh guy. Very good tuner. I'm running 29psi.

Numbers will be a little higher when I decide on which cams I want.

Probably meant for me

Yes stock bolts right now because I didn't trust the 1x1 method after talking to a few trusted people. I will do headstuds once I get cams, or when I blow a headgasket LOL - which will just give me an excuse to get cams anyway.

Here is the list I found on here.
Order the parts from www.mitsubishiparts.net

Quantity Part # Description
1 - 1515A057 Fitting, Air Output
1 - MR281085 Gasket, Air Output
1 - 1310A171 Pipe, Water Return
1 - 1310A248 Pipe, Water Feed
1 - 1225A042 Tube, Oil Feed
2 - MF660063 crush washer
2 - MF660064 crush washer
4 - MF660065 crush washer

They say you can reform (read bend) your old water and oil tubes, but for the price, just buy new ones.
Total price was like $82
What is missing is the gasket PN for the oil return tube on the bottom of the turbo...

Why are we recommending HKS 264, 272 & 280 camsets for an Evo IX? Have the HKS cams for the IX been released yet?

Externally the Green would be hard to distinguish from a stock IX turbo. It uses the same housings. Internally however, both housings are machined to accept the larger turbine and compressor wheels.

Take the part numbers listed in the above post and buy them at your Mitsu dealer's parts counter.

Birdie has a IX with upgraded cams and an EvoGreen and lists his Dyno numbers in his sig. So, exactly how big of a 'Jack do you consider it to be?
