I have a buddy who is computer illiterate but I helped him install some gauges, he has boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, and fuel pressure. He wants to know what should be the peak/warning values for these?? It has the control unit version 2... he just bought an evo ix rs that is going to be purely for hill climbs, has xede, burschur tbe, mbc (23psi), 255 fuel pump, drop-in... they are imperial settings.

Those are my guesses....

 

Boost -- depends on your mods, your tune, your fuel.... set it at whatever your circumstances will permit and alarm over that...
Oil Temp-- 180-230 is probably the range you want to be in... above 230 would be where I'd put the warning
Oil Pressure-- Mine are set to warning at anything below 20 psi
Fuel Pressure -- should be set at anything lower than your base pressure, but under boost, the fuel pressure should track the increase in boost 1:1 over your entire boost range. The Defi's will allow you to compare the two, as I recall, and perhaps alarm if they are not 1:1. Read the manual on this one.

 

My boost gauge is set at 22psi cuz I'm boostin 21psi, oil pressure's at 19psi. Usually when the evo is cold the start up psi for oil is like 50-60psi for me and when it warms up down to idle it sits at 20psi. Oil temp is set at 235 for me. I'm believe that the rpm is related to the oil pressure, the more rpms you have the more psi u build, just rev your motor and you can see the psi rise up like your boostin. But the limits are all based on your set up, what mods you have, how much your boost, if your dragging or road racing
