Black smoke after installing TBE + flash

Recently i installed the AMS TBE (with HFC) and got their base flash. Since then under hard acceleration i've been getting pretty big puffs of black smoke and it's starting to discolor my bumper.

I assume it's just running rich, is this normal?? If so what do you guys use to prevent the bumper from getting damaged.

pretty much so, kinda normal, depending on how much smoke your talkin hear? its just runnnin fatt under boost.

and to your second question just CLEAN! i know easier said then dine but i wash my car like three to four times a week. then again my car does not run that fatt.
if it is a base flash like you say it will be fatter for saftey and the ability to make it work on alot of cars.

That Exhaust with the HFC is also letting a whole lot more stuff through. Any aftermarket flash should be leaner than the stock off the scale richness.

As far as the bumper, just clean it often, very often, and it wont stain.

Sounds good, just wanted to make sure it's somewhat normal. It's not out of control my any means, it's just the bumper part thats annoying.....Especially since i do a lot of long distance driving and stopping in between and cleaning that area is kind of a pain!

And i think it already stained, i just got back from a 6-700 mile roadtrip and didnt clean it once....and maybe got on it a bit too often

if you have to stop in between trips to clean it thats a little excessive. you may have an issue but dont want to scare you. there is nothing that would be dangerous because of how fatt you are but you would deff. be down on your full power potential.

That reminds me that recently I was in front of a classmate of mine, and I punched it in 2nd gear. He said that a big puff of soot caked onto his windshield. It's normal

Normal, but you may want to get a full tune to really get the power from the mods.

I get a big cloud of black smoke on stock lol now I have fuel pump and tbe with tune ...rev limiters set at 6000...If it is running really rich try hitting the rev limiter in first and if it explodes and bangs huge and emits fire I'd say your running really rich.

do a boost leak test too. if you have some, it will cause an overly rich condition. most people that have never done one before have at least one leak.
