8hp no way. We did this to dsm's all the time. Not going to do it with my couple year old evo. It helps slightly but IMO is not worth it. Sometimes I stick to "not trying to outsmart the Mitsubishi engineers". This is one of those times.

when you are at WOT, the air is moving so fast (and a huge volume of it too) through the throttle body there is very little to no heat transfer happening due to the hot water. it will make a difference when you are idling and the only air passing through the throttle body is through the idle valve. at this point the volume of air is small, and the hot water will heat up the air.

+1, just get on it and it should be seemingly no difference..
