Last week i was driving down the road when i noticed a faint whining coming from what seems to be the rear diff. it only happen when i let off the gas at about 50 or 60mph. is this normal?
Also since i bought my IX ive noticed that my shifts are getting alot rougher and I have developed a 5th gear grind and sometimes 2nd. i only have 8000 miles on the car. Should i get my tranny fluid changed?
any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

 

My car was hit while parked on the street in the rear bumper and quarter panel. now since I got it back from the bodyshop I have the same whinning or roaring your talking about. same speeds, just no grinding.

 

Oh,I forgot to say that I don't know why it does this either.
