Is this a sign of piston ring?

This is the 2nd time i added oil since two weeks ago. I just change my oil at the dealership 2000miles ago. at first i added i quart of oil after 1200miles the oil change. and today i check my dipstick and saw it is low again so i added half a quart again. I went to track last week. Total of 7 runs since change oil on the 1/8 mile track. Do i really need to replace my piston ring at this moment? or wait and get a srtoker. I might be wrong....i dont see any sign of leak though!

do a compression test. you will find out that way.

Does the car smoke at all? Just because it is burning oil doesn't necessarily mean your rings are worn.

How is the turbo?? Could have "Play" and you are having some blow-by from the turbo. How many miles on the car? You first owner? Smokes black can mean running rich. It is tuned right?

Well,
Black smoke= rich
Blue= oil.

You could have been running too rich and washing down the cylinder walls killing the rings, or could be valve guides, turbo seals...

The lack of tune explains the smoke, not the oil loss. It might be blow by (Oil is passing the cartridge in the turbo) and blowing out the tailpipe. Do a compression/leak down test. that will tell you if it is in the pistons. Ever had the head off?

A tune is not gonna stop the oil from leaking. But you probably do need one.

+1 on the compression test. I thought the factory specs were around 160... As long as they are close to each other, and not too low, rings should be okay. Do a search for compression readings. People are getting numbers from 120-200. I wanna say mine were all in between 130-132. But Im at high altitude, and I think that affects it.

thats ALOT of oil. first off, lay off the boost. esp. if you don't have it tuned! next, do a compression test first, then if your #'s vary from cyl to cyl (should be around 150-160 across the board) do a leak down test. that will help you narrow the problem down.
