This week, I was driving, and I think my transfer case is shot. I bought the car (03) with 65000 miles on it, and it's always made a whining noise. I was told this was normal, so I didn't do much about it. I don't launch the car, but I've had some work done to it, and it puts out about 300 hp to the wheels. Anyway, the car makes some terrible lioud clicking noise when it moves, and if it's pushed, it gets to a certain point, then stops, makes the noise and it feels like it's pushing back, then it goes forward again.

I'm wondering how much damage I could have done to the transmission, and I'm also looking for a replacement transfer case. I have my money tied up in other projects now, so I dont have a whole lot to spend.

Try and find a used one on ebay and then send that off to shep or tre to have it rebuilt and cryo'ed! (i stress the cryo it helps the most)
