Actually, the transfer case does indeed fit, but to make it functional you will need the ACD computer, ECU, and wiring harness from a wrecked IX (or from the dealership if you are a baller). At this point you might as well just buy the mivec head and sensors along with everything else to fully upgrade to a IX setup.

 

He can get the same stuff from an 05 evo 8 also, no mivec.

 

The Hilcal front diff from a ACD case will work fine in a '03. Would be way to big of a pain to make the ACD crap work in a '03 though.

I put a Hilcal front diff from a '05 5spd ACD case and it fit just fine. Not sure about the 6spd though.

 

Please "educate"me , I would like to know why would have to be from an RS. Basicly, all 3 trim came with it as far as I know so it shouldn't matter right?

I am not trying to sound smart a$$ but could you please elaborate on why has to be from a RS?

My bad I meant to say 03 - 04 RS, as far as I know that LSD is the only one that fits and does not have ACD like the 03 - 04 GSR EVOS have no lsd with no acd. I asked TRE and he pointed me to the diff he has on his site as the one that fits. If this is not the case, then hopefully some tranny experts can clarify this so there wont be any misinformation.
