The professionals that installed it commented on how it fits alot better than the more expensive brands that they have installed on other evo's. Great product, Highly reccommended!

Have you noticed any change in sound? I'm not sure if it's the DP or the HFC, but I notice more of that hollow, tinny sound. (kind of like the can of bees analogy back in the DSM days). The Vishnu setup I had with the old E8 didn't have this noise.

Actually, I have noticed a slight change in tone at lower RPMs when i'm accelerating , once the engine is around 5k rpm, the noise gets drowned out by the cat back. Since I don't have a HFC, then I guess the DP is where it's coming from. Although I wouldn't equate it to a can of bees, it sounds more to me like new pipe echo. It has happened to a couple of cars that I owned when the new exhaust pipes are still clean on the inside. It seems like they are more prone to enhance the sound of the pulsating air traveling through it. In my experience, once the inside of the pipe gets fully covered by a nice layer of soot, that usually goes away.

The thin tubing causes that Tin sound. I wrapped mine with Heat Wrap and it's almost completely gone. Keeps the heat off the Oil Pan and TC as well.

Any chance you have any pics of this? If not can you describe where/how far you wrapped?

I want to wrap part of mine, but I don't want to have the wrap rubbing anything.

The Megan downpipe has a cast elbow welded to tubular stainless. I have to wonder--is this a risky proposition in terms of cracking?

Can cast iron be welded successfully to stainless tube? Previous examples of this practice haven't fared too well, at least that I have seen.

Also, is it reccomended to use the stock bolts and springs with this DP for some ype of flex or is it intended to be ran with no flex at all using just bolts to connect to the 02??Thanks in advance.. I am sick of my older version DP hitting my TC
