I paid $2550 for new stage 2 tcase from Shep. My old one had the death whine and Shep told me it needed to be replaced. I also did the rem on the upgrade!

How much did you guys pay for an acd t-case?

The prices are quite abit more for the acd cases. In fact neither shep nor TRE list those prices on their website. They only list the 03-04 non ACD prices.

If it only happens when you decelerate and does NOT happen when you accelerate its probably not your tcase. They usually start off by whining upon acceleration.

Yes if it is your tcase eventually you will get a very high pitch whine at all speeds.

My 03' did that with 0 miles on it. fixed it under warranty, they have a reputation for improperly shimming them from the factory.

Question Shep Stage 2 with ACD Question

Hi all! I've gone through 2 stock t-cases already and will definitely be ordering a new stage 2 from shep this week. I'd just like to know if anyone has the ACD one and their experiences with it so far. Shep is the man, I know and I have done business with him in the past. I just want to know what to expect. THanks

I pretty much destroyed my t-case on my MR 9. I sent it to SHEP and replaced the ring and pinion, new outer housing, and went for the Stage 2 w/ helical lsd. Total was 2.8k but took around 3 days to finish the work.
